You will also need to take your Footstool and Guitar Tuner with you (music stands are already supplied at the exam centre).

Your exam will require you to peform three pieces we have selected from you Grade book and then the relevant Scales and exercises from the other book.  You will always have to perform two other test from the list below:

I will have told you what tests we will be doing in the exam and we will have worked on the tests in the lessons with the material I supply to you but  for Sight Reading I always recommend purchasing the Trinity Sight on Sound Guitar books and these can be found in the link below in the Sight Reading section.

The ABRSM produce a superb set of books to support musical knowledge development and a link to their page is found here.  Books can be purchased from many suppliers so shop around. The following text is from their site:

Graded workbooks to provide a valuable resource for students preparing for ABRSM Theory exams.

Now fully revised at Grades 1 to 5, these books offer a clear explanation of music notation, together with definitions of important words and concepts. Specimen exam questions, worked examples and practice exercise provide plenty of guidance for exam candidates and make these an excellent resource for anyone wishing to develop general music literacy skills.
